So, I'm thinkin' of swapping out my 2 670FTWs for a single 780ti, with the thought of getting another in a few months if there's a price drop.

I need somebody with a 30" 2560x1600 display and with a proc (preferably 4770K) 4.4GHz. Please don't bother if you've got a different setup than that, as it will greatly skew the results, obviously. Thanks!

SECOND EDIT: Think I found what I needed - more apples to apples. According to this review ( http://hothardware.com/Reviews/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-780-Ti-GK110-To-The-Max/?page=2 ),
Here's their results vs. mine using EXACT same bench settings:

780 Ti - 1021 Score / 40.5FPS AVG / 17FPS MIN
My 670FTWs - 1072 Score / 42.5FPS AVG / 8.1FPS MIN
My 670FTWs with a very mild OC - 1130 Score / 44.9FPS AVG / 19.8FPS MIN

So, according to their scores, I'd double my minimum frames but would lose slightly in the overall average. With a very mild OC on my 670FTWs I'd best a single 780ti all the way around, except for VRAM. Sounds like I'd definitely need two 780 ti's. May need to see if the new 870's are enough of a jump from what I've got, or just go for broke and grab two 780ti's.

EDIT: So I found a review ( http://www.hardwareheaven.com/revie...raphics-card-review-3dmark-and-heaven-40.html ) that shows the following:

Heaven 4.0 using the Extreme preset
780 Ti - 1829Score / 72.6FPS
My 670FTWs - 2334Score / 92.6FPS

So, I'd be losing quite a bit, at least according to that review. Ugh. We all know synthetic benchmarks don't show the full story, such as VRAM. Any thoughts?

Here's Heaven 4.0 with no OC on the 670FTWs, with the exact settings:

Here's Valley 1.0 with no OC on the 670FTWs, with the exact settings:

I'd say it depends on what games you play. The 670's are still a power house but yes, you are limited by the VRAM in certain titles, especially at that resolution. I personally would wait for Maxwell.

Yeah. That's the story with 1600p - same as always. A single high-end card just doesn't have quite enough oomph to drive 1600p. I like 60FPS min with the goodies cranked. I can get that most of the time with BF4 on Ultra, but with only 2x MSAA and no supersampling (which 150% looks freakin beautiful, but is in the 30-40FPS range).

Both of those images say Valley by the way. May want to make sure you have the correct first image put in.
