SLI and spacing

Building a system and wondering which boards support SLI with 7800/6800's without problems fitting. Built a DFI LANParty system the other day and a 800xl almost didn't fit thanks to the motherboard. Will be using Retail cooling and system will not be overclocked heavily if at all. MB/CPU combo suggestions welcome.
