Slow boot out of the blue

My machine has been running fine with no hitches since I built it, and last week I turned it off and went on vacation. Now, after returning, I powered it on, and then it froze on me after using it for a few minutes. Upon rebooting, now at the bios loading screen, it displays a message saying something like Auto Detect USB Device at the bottom and hangs there for a little bit, then continues to boot, and then gets to the point before the Windows Vista login screen (basically a black screen) and hangs there for about a minute. I have never had it do this before and now it does it everytime I reboot. It used to boot super quick. Any ideas on what is causing this? I do not have any other devices plugged in and did not change any hardware or software. Only USB devices I have are my mouse and keyboard which I have always used.

Asus P6T Deluxe
i7 920
12gb Corsair DDR3
Vista Ultimate
WD VRaptor
2x BFG GTX280OC

Already checked HD. No issues coming up on scan. Going to run Memtest also, but...just does not seem to follow any logical pattern I have seen.
