So my almost new Artic Freezer Pro just died..

had this cooler for 3 months and today it died. come to think of it i think I remember a few weeks back in sandra it said 1000RPM for the fan speed. i did not think much of it, but now i realize it was supposed to be running at around 2500RPM. so its been slowly dieing it seems. anyways, i really thought it cooled well, kept current proc around 34 idle. right now with the fan @ zero rpm its at nice n toasty 59 idle. im not the type to give seconds chances so what are some comparable hsf that i should look at? not interested in those 1000 gram monsters though. thx.

Not familiar with the build of this cooler but can't you just change the fan?

That is why I do not like proprietary fan inclusions on these HSFs. If it goes out you have to buy a whole new one. Then again you're getting the cheapies so I guess you get what you pay for.

Just mount a 92mm fan on it..fits perfectly(ish). I mounted mine with zip ties.
