I've always been curious why some people say they use VSYNC because they don't like screen tearing...out of my 5 years of PC gaming, I have NEVER played with VSYNC on, and thats because I felt like the game was "slowing me down", instead of actually "smoothing out the tearing"....all the games I have ever played with VSYNC off have ZERO screen tearing...the only game I have witnessed screen tearing was RAGE...and the only way to fix it is enabling VSYNC on...but I heard the engine is a POS to begin with, so that isn't really a "norm"
Is screen tearing simply a game engine issue? Or is it the quality of the monitor? I'm just having a hard time figuring out why some people play with VSYNC on and say "its to prevent screen tearing".....I'm just like, okay? I have played all my games with no VSYNC and have absolutely zero screen tearing
thanks in advanced
