Hey everybody,
I was entertaining the idea of adding some more RAM to my PC and in the process though of a few questions. First, I already have 2 gigs of DDR2-1066 and Im running Vista 32-bit and if my memory serves my right, 32-bit Vista has a 3 gig useful limit or something like that, correct? Would getting an extra gig make all that much of a difference? My PC is fast enough, but I thought another gig would never hurt. Another question I have is, running memory in dual channel? (Please excuse my lack of knowledge around this topic) I have my current 2 gigs running in dual channel and each are 1 gig sticks, if I went and got two 512mb sticks and stuck them in with my two 1 gig sticks, would my memory still be running optimally? Would the two 512 sticks that Id get have to be of the exact same brand and model type to work with my 2 gig sticks?
