Something to compliment Creative cards

Wow what a gimmick, I thought the X-ram was bad enough..

RAM on a NIC is just plain overkill. I mean its not like we are all getting some killer bandwidths, and even in the case of FIOS people are not even touching the 1gigaBIT! range.
 
Transferring data on a gigabit ethernet connection has alot of overhead on most integrated NICs so having hardware offloading does reduce cpu usage significantly. That said this card has a ton of useless features for anyone who would actually need onboard processing (LAN users with dedicated routers/firewalls) in addition to it being PCI (which can't fully sustain a gigabit connection).

It looks like just another card for the 1337 h4x0r crowd.
