Starcraft crashing

I purchased some starcraft cd-keys today and downloaded it from the blizzard site.

I then started to play online but then was interrupted by a hard crash with no bsd.

I then restarted and tried to run it as administrator, same thing.

I've tried various things:

-Run it in compatibility mode as XP
-Run in 256 colors
-Run in 640x480 screen resolution
-Disable visual themes

When it freezes all the colors turn funky.

Sounds like a video driver issue.

Starcraft is a very ummm...non graphically intense game so if that is crashing that is symptomatic of something else going on in your system.

Try running in Windows 98 Compatability mode. I had funky color issues with Starcraft in Vista until I did that (XP compat. mode still had the same problem). A lot of older games sometimes have weird problems with modern video card drivers.

I tried running it in 98 mode and it worked but whenever I exited a game it would crash to windows.

I tried reinstalling and same hard crash..
