Earlier this year I got tired of Yahoo Messenger nagging me to upgrade, so I did. But I had a weird problem with version 9. Whenever I would send a link to a friend running version 8, something would change the domain name in the link to the IP address of my router! I couldn't find anybody else complaining of the same problem, so I removed version 9 and went back to version 8. But after upgrading from XP to Windows 7, I decided to give YIM 9 a try again. The link problem is happening again, and I still can't find anybody else reporting problems with it. What the hell?
