Another great in-house port by Capcom. The performance is fantastic. I get 40 FPS with my 8800 GTS 512 at 1680x1050, max settings, 16xQ AA. SF4 ranks that as a 'D', though. :/

My benchmark results with 2x AA.

Would you mind uploading it too an American site? Thanks...

It's only on Japanese sites at the moment as a direct download, but you can download it from your favorite torrent tracker.

That link you supplied in the OP was downloading between 300-400kb/sec so it should be fine, unless it got hammered again. I'm installing this now and will post what I got.

I wonder what it would run like on a 2GHz Core2Duo with a 7-series and no AA at 1280×720. I'm downloading now, GONNA RUN A TEST!

They definitely did a good job. With everything cranked up it looks good and runs smooth, the multi-channel audio is even very good. You know RE5 for PC should be done very well.

awesome! downloading right now. I'm really looking forward to Street Fighter IV. Fighting games are a bit lacking on the pc

You know, forcing it at 60FPS will give you the closest to arcades/consoles. Anything above that will screw up the gameplay mechanic. I didn't bother taking v-sync off, just screws up competitions.

Love how it tells me to raise the settings, when the only thing I can do is set it to C16xQ AA and that kills all performance.

Nvidia drivers have an SLI profile for the benchmark, but you might have to manually add the exe to the list, or use nHancer to edit the profile to make sure its there.

grabbing the benchmark now.. does this game require vista/win7? I really dont feel like booting up into win7 right now..

nvm just looked up the requirements..

screenshot will be coming soon to see how my phenom II 940 @ 3.5ghz and 8800GT @ 760/1890/1015 does..

this is with 16X AF as well..

my frame rate dropped to 11FPS trying to run 16xQAA.. so this is the highest possible setting i could run and yet i was still doing 60FPS..

not to bad.

How do you get input lag with a benchmarking tool?

*snip*

Can anyone see any difference between 2xAA and more? I sure cant.

theres a little bit of a difference.. but not much.. from what i could see setting the AF to 16x made the biggest difference.. where you really see the AA difference is the stuff in the background.. the characters still look like crap in my opinion even with 16xAA.. but we really dont know how far along the game was when this benchmark program was made.. its possible it was made off an early beta and not the final release..

Vsync on.

Only time it dipped in fps was when it loaded up the circle of characters and even then it was only down to 55 fps for a couple seconds then back up to 59+ fps.

if anyone is wondering if the benchmark tool or possibly the game is multi-threaded.. here ya go..

also i found out if you minimize the game it turns off vsync so well here ya go.. a screenshot of my 8800GT (bottom system in my sig) with vsync off..

score probably would of been higher if i had left the game minimized the whole time.. first 2 minutes of the game i was watching it then left it minimized for the rest of the benchmark..

yeah I just got the program downloaded and i'm floored at how well the game scales. I can turn on 16xaa and high everything except for particles at 1280x768 res and stay at 59ish fps with vsync on. I'm def purchasing this game. I'll probably wait a few weeks and see how fluid the online works. That is a make or break for me with this game. I just graduated college and a lot of friends don't come over to play on my pc together :p... (not that they did in college heh).

Yeah, me too! I'm really anxious to play Street Fighter again.

street fighter is the only reason i keep my super nintendo and n64 around.. otherwise i would of tossed those years ago..

I only played Street Fighter on the PC and arcade. And AFAIK, the only console I have (NES), never had any Street Fighter released for it.

16X AF was set, I have GTX 285 SLI with i7 at 4Ghz with CRT monitor.

Do you see a fight or is it like cutescenes and shit? I'm downloading now just asking because no one has posted anything other than the scores.

You see three fights and then it shows all of the characters.

SF2 came out on the SNES, I was sooo excited when it came out, because of all of the quarters it saved me at the arcade.

Yeah, I know about the SNES version, but I have a NES :)

But I'm really waiting for this game on the PC. I just hope it's not over $50. I'll post my scores tonight on both my desktop and laptop!
