SUPER RARE ENGINEERING SAMPLE 3dfx Voodoo 4 4500 32MB PCI Video Graphics Card

Doesnt look right to me, the front looks mostly correct. The heatsink glued on the chip is wrong as it has a plug for the fan, why but to hide what is under there. Plus it has a DVI port, when the card never came with one, why? Plus the back looks really off compared to the normal card. It almost makes me think the card has been faked and made to look old when it isnt.

According tot the description; What makes my PCI version of this card unique from the other two is that mine comes with a DVI port as well as a VGA port the other ones only has an VGA port and that’s because mine is a RARE ENGINEERING SAMPLE CARD.
hum... people have made custom version: What makes my PCI version of this card unique from the other two is that mine comes with a DVI port as well as a VGA port the other ones only has an VGA port and that’s because mine is a RARE ENGINEERING SAMPLE CARD.

Apparently.... could have been done I imagine, if people can add it :

It's up to almost $200 so some people must think there's a good shot that it is real!

Doesn't seem right that they would put stickers, the serial sticker especially, on an ES.
My voodoo5 6000 has a serial sticker

Are you saying it’s retail?

It’s unfortunate that you don’t recognize Oscar but he is instrumental and pivotal within the 3dfx retro community

He got the 3dfx Rampage operational

And is vouching that the eBay listing is an engineering sample.

yeah, most would have no idea who he is, unless part of that very niche group. you should try and include some context...

that thread is from 2013, no i dont remember it...
and trevor hasnt been on in 5+ years...
the point still stands, unless you are part of the very niche 3dfx "retro/restoration" scene most will have no clue who they are. they are NOT household names.
ps: we dont need to keep this back and forth going, you explained who they are.
