Hey all,
I just purchased my new parts for rig yesterday and now it is time to study.
I've built 3 computers, but the last one was over 2 years ago. Things .. have .. changed.
Anyways, I've listed all I could in sig within [H] limits.
I need to know if there is specific tutorials for the P5Q series motherboard for RAM timings, overclocking, etc. I also need to know what I need to look out for.
Also I've read that using only one stick of RAM to install Vista might be required. Strange to me, so if I install the 6GB later and then later on need to format, I need to remove RAM again to reinstall?
Also, do most do DOS testing of RAM before OS install? If yes, what utility.
I didn't get a floppy drive on this build and hope my Sandisk Cruzer 8GB USB stick will replace it easily. Anything I need to do to make my USB stick work for this purpose?
Thanks all for any advice.
