rls669 (nice OC of Q6600, please double check bios revision its not 6.00PG you are giving me the phenix, also I ASSUMED you have the Abit IP35 Pro board),

Oops, sorry about that. BIOS ID is 12 (full version name is m630A12 I believe), and it's the non-pro IP35.

My X38-DQ6 should be here tomorrow and I will have my rig up and running for the weekend and I will re-do my top run with my Q6000. I have confidence that I will get quite abit more out of the chip :)

EDIT:

Since this post I've worked on getting 4-4-4-12 mem settings stable. Couldn't do it with 3gb ram (mixed sticks) so I took out the 2 512's of corsair and just used the gskill. Below is my 4 hours of prime 95 stable screenie using the tighter timings. Since 3gb vs 2gb is negligible performance difference in a 32 bit os I've decided to make this my official system settings and my FIRST submission (as I think the cpu could go higher):

Here is the link to my cpu-z Validation file:

Validation with tighter timings

I went out and got a Asus P5K Deluxe Edition (P35 chipset)...I'm clocking better on it than I was on my 680i, I've got 3.4 going strong so far and I'm shooting for 3.5 today.

nice jimbean21 !!! I think im gonna upgrade my cpu to the e6750 later on..... and oc that cpu .. im sure itll give off less heat than my current e6600...

HAHA AWESOME. Told you I was coming for you Vexeus! I'm close now aren't I? :) another 300 or so Mhz and you're mine!

3534 Mhz is STABLE!

I'll post all the details a little later...gotta go to work.

That means this board does 500+ FSB without even trying, and I went ahead and set it to 525 for 3675 Mhz and am running the test now, who knows.. I may get 100% OC out of this thing!

Hell I'm close already!

3.6 is looking good too so far....I don't think this is going to be my 24/7 clock though, it's running damn hot...even on water. It's taking 1.525 vcore to get 3.6...PLL Voltage is 1.8 and North/SouthBridge voltages are maxxed too..wondering why asus didn't include any fans for the NB...The proc hasn't hit 74C yet or started throttling so I think I'm safe, plus the AS5 on it is practically brand new, heh...just applied it all and built it last night.

I get scared anything over 71 C via coretemp...

HAHA 11 hours ORTHOS STABLE!!

Posting info shortly... around 68C temps stabilized...may try and bring down the vcore a bit and see if that helps and remains stable.

Thanks!

I'm pushing for 3.7, maybe 3.8 when I get back from Buffalo.

LOL

Looking to be beaten Vexeus? :)

I somehow doubt that I'll be able to surpass you, but I should be able to get DAMN close...my temps are already kinda high, I am wondering if this chip even has a wall for me to hit, heh. I'm very pleased with this motherboard though, 515 FSB and counting!

Believe me though, I really wanna pwn your ass Vexeus :p lol.

I got myself some killer DDR2, OCZ2N1066 PC8500, I have it running 5-5-5-15 overclocked at 567mhz; I think I might even get CAS 4 with this at this speed, but I'm not ready to start testing for that. Warrantable memory up to 2.4volts! I have mine at 2.2--the rest of my setup is identical.

TURNED OUT I HAD A BAD STICK OF GSKILL (part of the problems I was having getting over 4 hours stable with that last setup, even though it pulled it off. I think eventually the testing got to the stick becvause after a while I couldn't get into windows with it).

validation is CPU-Z VALIDATION

wow, check it:

I see no E6850 love. :(

Running mine through it's paces with the Intel stock heatsink. I need something better desperately. (Stable with all the games, but had to stop it with Orthos after not even 7 and a half minutes as the temperature was 70 C and climbing. )

Anyways, one for the unstable list on the currently nonexistent E6850 list. :D

Truly an awesome processor. Ran it at 4Ghz for e-peen enhancement earlier at 1.55 in bios (1.51 actual) and was solid. System shutdown as it reached 73 C of course, but prior it was great. :D

Probably going water now, lol. Does anyone know if not having a shroud on a rad will severely affect temperatures? I want to keep it all internal but the top fans on my 190 are 140mm, so if I just sorta hung a 2x120mm rad would it work just as well or near as good as with a shroud and two 120mm fans?

Just a reminder I switched memory and you still have my gskill listed; I guess that's fine. I RMA'd that bad stick of gskill I had and already got it back; using both sticks in a different computer. I love gskill, but that memory can't run at 567 like the OCZ I have now. ;)

My info on the new memory is up a few threads. Either way it's no big deal. Great work here as always, videomasterz!

awesome job on the thread videomasterz. appreciate it.

hey i was wondering if you could change my entry. i listed the wrong ram specs. i thought you meant what they came clocked at lolol. looks like kind of dumb there like why isnt it 1:1 ratio :p

yeah but the correct info is 925mhz at 5-5-5-15.

thanks man.
