DarthBevis, your room must sound like it's in the middle of an airport strip. :D Looks very good.

It was just a reminder, we all get a little too excited and post without thinking... no need to be a D about it. ;)
Back to the rigs.

How about FluidXP wrestling then ;)

Mods . . .please clean up my mess . . .sorry

Ive always been fascinated on how most of the higher end cards have these huge fan shrouds to help cool down the components.. there are awesome to look at but unfortunately, most of the pretty images that adorn these shrouds are on the side that faces downward to your PC. The only way to appreciate this work of art is by either laying the tower on its side or sticking a mirror in the case to see it. (not a good idea imo) so I decided to do a lil dress up .. so to speak.. (btw... i cant afford to custom paint my case, id rather spend the money on a game or upgrade :) )
The artwork are cutouts from the EVGA 780i mobo box and some images of "radiation" symbols I googled, which I printed out using postcard stock paper and printed them out using a color laser printer in 5x7 sizes.
I then measured and used a tiny bit of e-tape to secure..

Imagine the possibilities using this method of case modding w/o spending cash on expensive paint jobs that you may risk scratching up when your working on them.
You can also change your style anytime you want to by just printing out images and fitting them in. You cant do that with custom painting.
Not too bad imo, next time. ill print out some images of popular couples and slap them on the SLI config.. for example.. Tom and Jerry, Heckle and Jeckle, Bonnie and Clyde.. you can pretty much go all out and have fun doing it.

I haven't posted here in a while... but here's my xmas08 rig..

xmasbox.jpg

I managed to cram in there the following:

msi eclipse mobo with a core i7 920 @ 3.8ghz
cm v8 cooler
3x 1gb gskill 9-9-9-24 ddr3 (soon to be 6x 1gb)
2x msi gtx260 (725c/1460s/1190m)
x-fi xtreme audio (pci-e)
areca arc-1200 caching raid controller (pci-e)
2x raptor-x 150gb drives raid0 (system)
1x seagate 500gb 7200.11 (storage, swap)
2x sata DVD drives (plextor px-755a and asus something-a-rather dvdrom)
xion supernova 1kw psu
sunbeam rheobus fan controller
3x 120mm fans, 2x80mm fans, 1x antec spot-cool
2x uv ccfl kits (on fan controller ports 3 and 4)
sunbeam 9bay clear case

blood, sweat, tears... anyways, I think it came out pretty nice... I had always wanted to build a machine in a clear case... I think the DangerDen cases are nicer than this one and much roomier... the video cards barely and I mean BARELY fit in.. there's about 1/4 of space between the end of the top one and the bottom of the hard drives.. lol. I could have moved the drives up one slot higher but wanted an open slot there to mount the spot-cool in and possibly stash an ssd drive there later also.. maybe..

here's a close-up of the inside before I added the GTX cards and sound card.

Small case so hiding the cables is not easy but I did the best I could

I am almost convinced after looking at these pictures that I need a new case that has better possiblities for cable management, or I just suck at that.

Got time to finish wiring things up tonight. Specs are Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 4 gigs of corsair memory, geforce 9500 gt oc (free from bfg), and a asus P5nd-Sli motherboard (plans to upgrade to sli soon). Thanks once again to bfg, this fits all my needs nicely so far, and would like to do some watercooling soon.
