Reviews- One of there most popular low end PSU

Here's my Newegg review (May 2007)

On the plus side Newegg replaced it for me even though I waited 5 months before trying an RMA. Nice. Replacement is still working, in a cheap PC I wouldn't trust with anything important.

1 star: Junk - worked for less than a week

Pros: + cheap, worked for a few days,

Cons: - after a few days, the PC started shutting down (stayed off 30 seconds, then on 10 seconds, repeat).

- replaced the power supply (with different model) and the problem disappeared

Other Thoughts: I guess there's a reason it's so cheap. I have the other cheap Thermaltake 420W in another PC, that one's been fine for over a year.

nice, info and feedback, its nice to here it first hand sometimes. I think it could be a fluke as with alot of PSU's sometimes

This price is decent I guess. They have been $25 AR before and newegg just had it for $31 AR like 2 weeks ago. I used this about a couple years and now a buddy has used mine for the past year. It works well enough for small systems at stock.

Remember people. this is NOT for any gaming system or higher power kind of system of any kind. Its extremely low amperage for the rated wattage does not put it in a good position to power a gaming system, at least not for long and without causing damage.

i.e. the Reason i stated small budget build or small file server build....

Thermaltake RMA service is top notch. Did the whole thing online and got a brand new PSU when they sent me a new one (750W Toughpower...not this one ;) ). I've used this PSU before for office machines and it works. I've definitely seen it cheaper though.
