I've done a pretty good amount of research in perpetration for building an HTPC. I just wanted to see if anyone knew of any "gotcha's" related to this particular display.

I plan on running DVI -> HMDI cable from the HTPC (driven by an 8800GT), mostly for HD-DVD and Blu-ray playback (LG Combo drive), but some gaming as well.

Does anyone know if this one does 1:1 (or dot-by-dot), I was planning on having the video card do scaling instead of the TV.

Any help appreciated

I’ve had this set for few months now and really like it. Got a great deal at Circuit City, $1200. Anyways I just use this set for HDTV and my PS3. The default mode on an HD signal is “dot-by-dot” (also: zoom, stretch and smart stretch) for whatever that is worth…Sharp also has the manuals in pdf online.

Here’s a good…and huge…thread you can sink your teeth into @ AVS or you can just search it for what you need :p

no one talks about PC gaming in that thread. I've gone through 10 pages of "how do i get my 360 to work" or "anyone else notice the banding".

No one talking about ghosting or anything that would answer my questions :(
