I was looking around Newegg, & I saw this
set of OCZ 3500 2x512mb @ 2.5-3-3-7 for $209. I've heard of some mixed feelings w/ OCZ memory,
but this looks like a really good deal, & the reviews say it's halfway decent OCing memory. Get it?

pretty much everyone on here hates OCZ, b/c they usually make flaky products and are a sleezbag of a company..
don't get it.

Yeah, I don't think I'll get that, prolly some $230 2x512 Corsair XMS 3200. Thx for the advise.

I heard OCZ paided off some of the reviewers to give them better reviews of their crappy ass ram.

Ignore the anti-OCZ blabber, as they lack actual hands-on experience with OCZ memory and think it's "cool" to be in a "bitch at company XYZ" fad.

Now, in the world of actual experience and reviews and such, OCZ currently makes some of the highest quality, fastest timings, highest OCing memory there is. There is a reason that most of the big review sites use OCZ in their benchmarking setups. And there's a reason that OCZ memory has won many awards from review sites. Finally, there is a reason that OCZ memory has a lifetime warranty.

I've had 4 different sticks of OCZ, pc3000/pc3200/pc4000 x2, and all of it has performed perfectly, and, OCed like mad.

To get the overall true opinion of OCZ quality, go check out reviews and get user opinions (such as at Newegg), then make your own educated decision.

I have the OCZ that is in my sig, and love it. No problems and it does OC like a mad dog.

I would recommend it whole heartedly.

On Monday I bought a gig of OCZ pc4000 gold edition.
Hopefully it helps out with the OC/RAM problem I've been having.
I've heard good stuff about it.
I'll let you know my results once I get it and test it out.

You'll be very happy rtierney. I put in a gig of that OcZ pc4000 Gold a week ago, it's great memory.

I have had nothing but good experiences with OCZ. ikellensbro if your gonna run a athlon 64 rig the 3500eb will be the better choice the EB is awesome with it

I ordered 2x256mb OCZ pc3500 EB on Wednesday. Supposed to be here Friday.

They say it's awesome ram.

EBs are great :)
I have mine running @ 240mhz 2.5-2-2-10 (A64 rig). Ran well beyond 255mhz 3-2-2-10 but waiting on faster CPU to test its full potential.

Hey, since there is no use in making a new thread about good memory, is Patriot any good, i just bought some on monday it works pretty good, no problems yet... But does anyone know anything about Patriot good or bad? I have to weeks to return em, i got them cause it was pretty cheap for its latency.

OCZ bashers are prolly based on the issues the company had a while back. Since then, they've upped their quality and service amazingly. I've used nothing but OCZ in my system builds for a while now, without a hitch. I'm particularly liking the EB series based on some new Hynix chips. For Intel fans, the PC3200 based on the Samsung chips is also excellent.

Uhhh... EBs are based on Micron chips.
