Tomato or DD-WRT?

It's well known router benching software called IX Chariot which they use.
Tomato also shows 4096...but I know I'll never get close to approaching even 1/10th of that.
 
I hear ya, I wonder what the deal is with their results then. Here is my DD-WRT when I run near full capacity for reference to the thread.

 
Makes me wonder if there's a difference in how IX Chariot does the benching...if perhaps it's a heavier test or something....
 
It's possible that DD-WRT doesn't suck anymore. My experience with it a couple years ago was that it did indeed suck. Horribly so. This thread and that article are old.
 
And a year and a half later I STILL prefer Tomato. :D
The wrt54gx routers haven't changed much in the past 1.5 years..actually haven't changed period. So it's still fairly spot on.
 
I've been running dd-wrt since 2006, and never had any issues with it's performance on my Buffalo router. I've never tried Tomato however.
