Trouble overclocking Corsair Mem in A8N-SLI Premium

So I just upgraded to 2 Gigs (finally) of CMX1024-3200C2PT (a TwinX kit of 2 x 1024) only to find that it will not overclock very well at ALL. By this, I mean that setting the FSB to 225Mhz (DDR450) will cause my memory to fail memtest on the first of second pass on Test #5. My old RAM (a TwinX kit of the same stuff of 2 x 512), ran at 250Mhz stable. This is what I've tried so far:

1) I reverted my BIOS back from the beta version (1302 or something like that) to 1009 (a stable version). Still had errors on Test #5 in first pass or two.
2) Changed timings from the rated 2.5-3-3-6 and ran at 225Mhz. Same problem.
3) Changed timings to 3-3-3-8 and ran at 225Mhz. Same problem.
4) Kept timings at 3-3-3-8, upped the DDR Voltage to 2.80 V. Has currently run through test #5 6 times with no errors.

However, I am really not happy that I have to run my memory at 3-3-3-8 and only achieve a 25Mhz overclock. This is really hindering my performance since I have an Opty 165 that I have gotten up to 2.7Ghz. Any suggestions on what I should do? I am thinking about dropping the timings back down to its rated timings, keeping the voltage at 2.80V, and setting it to 2T Timing, but I have heard that that will slow things down even more than just increasing the timings.

Any advice? Do 1 gig sticks just not overclock as well in general or what?

Thanks in advance!

Can't you just use a lower divider?

No, for some reason, after putting in my new memory, I cannot push my FSB any higher than about 250mhz. With my old RAM, I had it set at 296Mhz STABLE with a 333 divider on the memory to put it a little under 250. I have been running like this for the past 4 months, stable, and Primed for 48 hours like that as well.

Now I can't push my memory over 225Mhz and can't push my processor FSB over 250! Whats going on?

Has anyone had any experience with this RAM on the ASUS A8N-SLI Premium board?

I'm currently running the latest stable BIOS (1009) and cannot get the RAM to be stable at anything over 215Mhz at stock voltage (2.7 V), which is really upsetting because my Opty 165 can get up to around 2.7Ghz but I have to run it at 2.4!
