Trying to get bluetooth headset working... fail

Alright so I just got a Dell m1330 with bluetooth installed. I've also have two bluetooth headsets, a Plantronics Voyager 510, and a BlueAnt Z9i. I'm really excited about getting it all to work together for Skype.

Initially I had I was prompted for a device driver anytime I paired a headset. Some looking around yielded this tidbit of info

I disabled the stock Windows enumerator and left the Dell 355 bluetooth device alone. Now I can pair both devices but if I try to connect the Z9i, it flashes between connected and disconnected, until it finally stays disconnected. I've enabled the "Headset" service on both devices. The Plantronics says connected. Neither device shows up in the under Control Panel \ Sound.

Any help guys? This is driving me nuts and the Dell customer service rep has no idea either. They've just been dicking around with remote access trying to uninstall and reinstall sound drivers. In fact they're still at it while I'm writing this on my desktop. *sigh*
