Trying to get ddr400 and ddr500 sticks to work on same box..

So I have 2 sticks of g.Skill DDR400 1gb ram and 2 sticks of g.Skill DDR500 1gb ram lying around. I was wondering if anyone has ran into this type of "configuration" before since the ram are different timings all together and trying to get them to work on a DFI Lanparty is hurting my brain..

Here are the specs of the two different types of ram:

Capacity 2GB (2x1GB)
Speed DDR 400 (PC 3200)
Cas Latency 2.5
Timing 2.5-3-3-6
Voltage 2.6V - 2.75V

Capacity 2GB (2 x 1GB)
Speed DDR 500 (PC 4000)
Cas Latency 3
Timing 3-4-4-8 (at 500MHz)
Voltage 2.6V - 2.8V
Heat Spreader Yes - Black


Any suggestions or should I try to trade the DDR500's for DDR400's or vice versa?

You might overclock the 400 a little and underclock the 500 a little to find a happy performance medium with the rams.

would you have any recommendations on where to start?

The problem is i haven't found a happy medium yet.. I'm not looking for any performance gains..my goal is to get them to work. This is going to be one of my new personal servers at home so speed isn't all that important.

If you need them both to work the DDR500 should be able to run at the same speeds as the DDR400. I've never run into any issues underclocking my hardware; within reason of course.
