i have soundblaster audigy 2

right now i have a syncmaster 712n by samsung, its a pretty sweet LCD in my opinion i havnt had any complaints

anyways my parents took my old tv back and are replacing it with like some Silvania crap from BJs for me to have in my new apartment...but i have been scheming

i want the dell 2005 fpw... it is only 400 on ebay..is that a bad move?

so if i get that, i hear u can run like ur gamecube and x-box right into the monitor, so than id like to get a tv-tuner going on with it... but ive never purchased one before, i definitely want a remote, and its just going to have a coaxial going into it for the cable that the school provides me, ... i dont know where to start, newegg looked like it had some decent cards...any suggestions?

Look for the Hauppauge! WinTV PVR-xxx series. They go from about $20 all the way up to $175 or so in price range, with lots of options in between. They are reliable, produce good image quality, and they come with remote controls. Some of the PVR series also comes with PVR software.

is that arguably one of the best tuners? do they go into a pci slot?

Yes, they are PCI. If it was me, I'd go with the PVR250, since I have WinXP Pro

If I had MCE, I'd go with the PVR150.
