Hi,

I am building a new PC running XP with a 9600gt at its heart.

I am running a 1600x1200 viewsonic, and a 37" panasonic plasma.

I have one the monitor hooked up with dvi, and the plasma via a dvi to hdmi converter. Is it possible to run the monitor at 1600x1200 whilst simultaenously running the plasma at 1366x768 of the one graphics card?

Thanks

Yes, it is possible, provided you're not trying to clone your desktop. The Display Properties applet is quite good at handling multiple monitors (and has been for at least a decade).

you've got the perfect card, actually. Instead of the standard XP display properties, the Nvidia control panel is a bit more powerful when it comes to tweaking your card for TV multi resolution output. Good choice on the 9600gt - It wouldn't happen to be the Palit card, would it? If not, see if you can exchange it for a Palit - Native HDMI with SPDIF passthrough and a Displayport port!
