Friend wants to upgrade his gateway to play in Defiance MMO. Thinks he will need power supply and video card. Wants to buy from Microcenter.

Thanks for any help.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

Web, light gaming. Defiance MMO beta is the reason for the upgrade.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.

Near PA Microcenter.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

video card and power supply

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc. n/a
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

My friend's questions

Question 1 - Does my Gateway computer meet minimum system requirements?

Question 2 - Would it be worthwhile (on a budget) to upgrade power supply to
450W or better and go with a PCI-E video card (e.g., Radeon 6670 or 6770)?

Question 2A - If so, any recommendations on specific power supply and/or
affordable graphics card for this system? Looking for something I can buy
off the shelf at Best Buy or Micro Center before the weekend.

1) Yes in terms of CPU power. No in terms of GPU power.
2) Yes.
2A) Go for the Corsair CX430 430W PSU and the HD 7750.
