USB over WiFi

Does anyone know of a device that would redirect a USB device over wifi withot needing a host dongle? I've got a HTPC setup in my ESXi host at home and am trying to figure out a way to pass IR to the computer without having to pass my whole USB controller to the VM. I know these sorts of devices exist for wired connections, as I've been very happy with our AnywhereUSB at work, but don't see any wireless offerings.

I looked at the IOGEAR Wireless Share Station, but The Missing Remote said it didn't work well with HID type devices.

Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, I've got one of these at works, but it isn't wireless and as far as I can tell they don't make one.

So adding something like a NETGEAR WNCE2001 Universal Wi-Fi Internet Adapter Wireless would probably make the setup a little more complicated than you would like I guess?

Not really, I'd thought about just getting a wired solution and putting a bridge on it, but I was just hoping someone would mak an all in one. Actually it's the cost becomes and issue. I don't know why the 2 port USB Anywheres are almost $300.

I'm actually surprised Logitech or someone doesn't make a remote with a wifi function. I've played with using my iPhone for the remote, but the lack of any tactile buttons makes it unsatisfactory.

I was, luckily, able to passthrough an AMD 6450 and I ran an HDMI cable up to my bedroom.

I did find a company called Silex that offers some similar to the AnywhereUSB for slightly cheaper. Still not what I'd call cheap though.
