Hey guys... I ordered a VF1000 for my 4850, but since had an afterthought on the matter - simply put - will I want to run ram heatsinks in addition to the VF, and will heatsinks for the memory even fit around the cooler?

I resolved the heat problem I was having a bit....mostly jumped on the VF because its much quieter - but as an afterthought I realized the current cooler also covers the ram, while the VF wont...

any thoughts from experienced folks appreciated!

thanks!

A lot of the stock coolers on the 4850 only have heatsinks on the GPU.
Just go to NewEgg and do a search, and you'll see.

You can get some ramsinks, but I don't think it's required.

The VF1000 has ram sinks included in their package, look closely in the pastic bag on Newegg's site. I plan on buying this same exact cooler for my HIS 4850 next week.
