Ok, so ever since I upgraded to my new rig, I've been having problems with choppy vidoe playback. I don't know what it is... all the files are ones I've transferred over from my old rig (see sig for both), and they all played smooth as butter on that ancient thing. So, wtf is the deal? Where could I be getting issues from?

i'd try a different version of your video card drivers (use drivercleaner) and of course making sure you've got the correct codecs installed.

I've got all the codecs, and I've tried a couple different player (VLC, winamp, WMP, divx). I'll see if different drivers do anything for it, though I somewhat doubt that will help since I've got all the latest drivers.

The latest drivers aren't always the best, but for you, I would assume they would be. But yah, hitup guru3d and try some older drivers.

also look at your mobo drivers and your hard disk controller drivers. If those are the windows generics instead of the vendor specifics, you could experience performance issues.
