I have had this monitor for quite awhile and just recently noticed an issue with it.
In my lower right corner there is like a grey spot. It isnt a dead pixel or anything. If you touch the screen to where the pixels react, you can see the spot is actually behind it... Like somehow dust got behind it. How exactly should I fix this, It is under warranty but im scared i would recieve the lower 2035 instead of what I paid for.
Yep, the following settings did a great job with Titan Quest, at least for me. I can a difference, for the better. I am happy now, so I don't need to bring out my 19" CRT. Once again, thank you!
@Gatecrasher3
Yeah I tried connecting with my it using component cables, and a component to VGA adapter for the monitor, since the VGA port wasn't being used. And damn do I regret it. It plugged in fine, but 1st of all, everything looks green, I think it has to do with the Sync on Green thing on the monitor. But worst of all, at first at least the monitor worked properly, but now my DVI input on the monitor doesn't even work! It's ridiculous and now I have to send it in to Viewsonic to get it fixed! Until someone finds a way to prevent this from happening I don't think I can recommend it for Wii at least. PS2 at least has HDMI out and you can get a HDMI to DVI converter easily.
I hear ya ochentay4! I've had this money for about 2 years now. It's served me very well for everything! But Now that I find 20" veryyy small and much cheaper monitors that are 21"+ coming out these days with less then 8ms. I think its time to upgrade to something a bid more [H]ard (2407) !
Has anyone tried using a PS3 on this thing? I've already tried an Xbox 360 on this, but the PS3 is a mystery. Not as much info available on it, and I tried a search to no avail.
If you want to connect the PS3 to a digital device using HDMI port it is mandatory to have HDPC compliant device. Its because of BlueRay specs. I think HDDVD requires it also. So, just for gaming, the PS3 requires a HDCP monitor? That's sort of annoying.
I know this thread is ancient, but i had a vx2025 collecting dust, thanks to ochentay4, it's ALIVE!
I'm freaking happy, damn viewsonic, thank you hard!
After having this monitor for 2 years I just recently noticed these strange streaks as if someone smeared it with wet finger. The panel is perfectly clean on the outside. The streaks are only visible against gray backgrounds (not seen against white or black areas).
Has anyone here seen anything like this?
Hey all, I just had my friend come over who has an eye-one xt calibrator, we tinkered around for about half an hour and I think we managed to get the colors close to perfect so here are the settings.
Red 95
Green 95
Blue 97
Contrast 74
Brightness 54
You will also need to download and use this icc color profile, then you colors should look pretty close to perfect, of course every monitor is different so your mileage may vary.
Heres the link to the file:

Btw this profile was made for a mac, so im not sure how to use it on a windows box
The gamma is also set at 2.2 the pc standard and where it should be for color accurate photo editing.
Hope this helps
