Haven't been keeping up with video cards, hoping the price battles would decrease and supply would increase... I can tell neither has really happened.

Is this a real, legit, in stock item?

well, I'm questioning weither its a PE or not because the product description says the core is running at 500 which is XT speeds and not PE speeds.

There are non-PE AGP XTs out.

Thats an XT standard. Not XT Platinum Edition. Visiontek is producing XT standards as well as XT PE's. Buy direct from visiontek.com to get a better deal. $530 for a card you can get for a good $50-60 less from visiontek directly.

WARNING! I just canceled my order of that item that I ordered the 28th of August and never recived it. I just got e-mail confermation from gameve.com that the next "due date" is the 27th of sept. But I've gotten at least 5 false expected dates. To tell you the truth though. It's not gameve.com, their e-mail resoponces to my questions were answered less than an hour sometimes and they're too the point. It's Gehy Visiontek that never makes good on their deliveries. I would still recomend gameve.com for all your comp needs, just don't trust their instock on popular items.
