Spent most of the day playing around with my new cards and found there is a bug in the drivers for enabling Crossfire on the 2900xts while having dual displays enabled.
The best solution I could find was to create 3 profiles
1) Profile that is set up for your Dual monitor, in which both monitors are active.
2) What I call a pre-crossfire profile, in which you disable the second monitor
3) This is the Crossfire enabled profile
Profile 2 is the set up step to go from 1 to 3 or 3 to 1.
To save alot of post on the topic
yes I know the 2900xt suck, nvidia rocks, ati IQ sucks, ATI drivers suck, it is a power hog, it is loud, it is hot and it cost to much.....there I think I got them all
But non of that matters because the flames make them cool
