Buddy of mines old system that we are having issues with installing Vista Ultimate on. The problem lies with setting up and installing Vista on the 2 Raptors in RAID0. We have gotten to the point of Vista seeing the 2 raptors as one 138GB drive, yet when you click on it to choose where to install, it says someting about windows not being able to detect if this computer has a valid system volume. We are stumped, anyone have any ideas? Once vista installs and works, the RAM will be upgraded to 2GB btw. Worth mentioning that this happens with Vista 32 & 64, aswell as XP.

Ok, there are the system specs:

DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Winchester 2.2GHz
CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel
connect3D 3026B Radeon X850XT 256MB
2x Western Digital Raptor WD740GD 74GB 10000 RPM SATA 1.5Gb/s Hard Drive

:D

Are you using a disk with the RAID driver slipstreamed in?
If not, you'll have to feed the drivers in via USB flashdrive/CD/floppy (you'll see the option to do so at the bottom of the screen that shows what drives are present).
