So I just realized today that I've been using all of my 3 HDs, 1 being a sataII drive on my SATAII port, in IDE mode.

So I'm looking to get them into the correct mode so the speed is the best I can get without having to reinstall vista.... think it can be done?

I've already got my SATAII drive in AHCI mode since it is not my OS drive. My OS drive is a 74GB raptor (not sataII) on one of the 4 regular SATA ports along with my sata DVD combo drive, and another 74GB raptor.

Should I be able to go into vista repair using the cd, and add drivers for the AHCI? IE the jmicron drivers...

I have those installed already, but when I switch my drives to AHCI mode and attempt to go back into vista, it blue screens.

Is reinstalling my only option here?
