Vista upgrade from 32 to 64 bit for Gateway P-6831FX

Is there any way I can request a 64 bit version of the 32 bit Vista Home Premium that came with my Gateway P-6831FX from either Gateway or Microsoft, or do I essentially have to buy a separate copy/license? Thanks.
