Just saw this panel at Sam's Club and it looked pretty good. I will be using it for PS3, 360, and PC gaming). Price is about $298.

Anybody have any expereince with this particular panel?

I have been waiting for BB to get in the XL2370, but it has been a few months and the 6 stores within 100 miles of me have not received any ( one store may have received a few but they were gone within a day).

Thanks!

Vizio wants $400 for that thing on their website, you sure $300 is accurate?

honestly for the price, its interesting, but seems a bit high (the fact that its a TV probably has something to do with this, thats a lot of extra baggage to pay for)

for around that money I'm pretty sure you can get a 120hz 1680x1050 monitor

the dynamic brightness based on room conditions may or may not be worthwile, otherwise it seems pretty average, sidelight LED isn't the same as the LED backlights found on expensive/fancypants monitors like the new Cinema HD series or the DreamColor

I'd probably grab one of those ~26" Asus monitors for this kind of money, pretty sure they're TN so they won't be slugs, they have HDMI for your consoles, bigger displays, and longer rated lives than 30,000 hours (holy god I just saw that while finishing my post, FORGET THAT, 30,000 HOURS? should be at LEAST 50,000)

I tried it. It's not great. The menus look like they were drawn w/ crayon by a child. The panel is TN just like the panel on my Dell G2410, but it looks so much more washed out at slight angles and colors were difficult to adjust just right.

as a side note, I just realized this is an LED backlit display that uses more power on average than either of my CFL backlit LCDs can draw at peak...thats not a good thing I don't think

Thanks for the responses. Looks like I will pass on this one.

Oboski, Sam's Club usually sells items for somewhat cheaper than a lot of other stores (they are like Costco). Good return policy as well. :)
