Does anyone know if there is some Windows setting you can do to introduce sidetone in to your headphones, or would this have to be set in the VOIP program itself (currently using Ventrillo).

Trying to figure out a way to help myself not yell in to the mic while gaming.

Figured it out.

Control Panel > Sound > Recording tab > Microphone (right click) > Properties > Listen tab > Check 'Listen to this device'

This works but it's not ideal. On my system, there's a slight delay and the side tone sounds more like an echo. For this to work, the sidetone can't have any noticeable delay.

There must be a way to design a small analog circuit to do this. Just plug the ear and mic jacks into it and then plug it into the computer. Anyone out there good with these types of circuits?
