I just built a new machine, I put an Antec Neopower in it. I may be wrong, but the voltage seems low.

+12 -- 11.187
+5 -- 4.999
+3.3 -- 3.28
Vcore -- 1.456

I'm having some video problems, and wondering if I need to up my voltage.

Thanks for the help

I don't know as much as you fella's about pwer supplies and what not, but...i do know at my computer class, we took a multimeter and tested a power supply and it got close to the voltages that you are saying. I'm not sure, what that means, but my teacher said some vary so...beats me, to me it sound normal. but i would see waht the other people post ya know.

What kind of video problem are you having though? could be Vid card related...

Should be within +/- 5% of rated spec...your 12V is below the rated +/- 5%

5 is fine
3.3 is fine

Vcore, what cpu?

What video card? A lot of newer cards really chew through the 12V rails capacity...

How do I fix my +12 rail problem?

You won’t really know anything until you use a voltmeter to take real readings. Your BIOS might be close but anything your reading in software is probably way off.

i thought the neopower had dual 12V rails?

indeed, but niether of them should be that far out of spec
if there is no load on the one being measured that might be the issue
and if the System Management Bus is incorrectly reading a Dual Rail that might be an issue

as far as the BIOS being more accurate than software
well the software pulls the values off the SMBus just like the BIOS does
if its proprietary (like a mobo manufacturers) it might have a built in correction factor
otrherwise it should be a straight read

think youll need to get a multimeter to sort this one out
normally anything that far off in software is also off iwith a multimeter
but factoring in the potential snafu of the SMBus reading a dual rail...Im not so sure

it's just Asus probe reading it wrong, My +12 rails are actually around 12.77 most of the time, and higher, never lower

thats with a multimeter?

+12V....11.4V to 12.6V is spec
