I was about to order a different 1TB HDD then saw these on newegg. I think I will go for the blue unless there's a reason not too.

I just picked up 2 of the 1 TB blues from Amazon because my 4 month old 1.5 TB green died. Could have been a fluke, but personally I've had better luck with the blue's (5 640's with no issues).

I have used WD RMA and it is simple and quick, WD will replkace that failed drive at no cost...

blue makes for great os drive, as greens are a tad slow for modern os's

EARS = more cache (64MB) and "Advanced Formatting", which uses 4kB sectors instead of the normal 512B sectors older drives use.

Ordered 3 of the 2tb Green drives for my FreeNAS. Going to disable intellispeed and set the start block to 64. If all goes well I will try to order 3 more.
