wd drive rattles, makes funny noises...

computer was making a funny noise, so while looking for the cause, i figured it was one fo my drives. i gutted my comp to get at the drives. as i took one of the wd drives out, it was rattleing.

odd thing however is the drive is working just fine(apart from the odd noise), and the western digital diagnostic tools, say theres nothing wrong with the harddrive..

anyone have this happen to them before?

and yeah im backing up and removing the drive from my system before anything happens..
 
id say RMA, my 200gb hard drive seems to be doing that too. or well something like that, i think it might be the antec HD cooler that its inside. i say RMA, nothings worse then a bad hard drive full of data that suddenly dies
 
hmm strange, hitachi drives sometimes rattle like theres a ball bearing lose inside. but ont he front it says, rattleing noises are normal operation LOL, the drive works good too
