What are 3870 512's "supposed" to retail for?

right, 219.99 on launch day for 3870's and 179.99 for 3850's.

Most folks would likely do well with HD 3850 512Mb cards. There is a nice Asus one over on Newegg for 199usd. You could do 730 via overdrive and perhaps up to 760 with Rivatuner.

F'n Mwave is asked 279-289usd for some of their 3870s.

Yup, I say just get a512mb 3850.. I think HIS's was going for $220, and it was already OCed to 735core

the his cards are very nice. overclocked out of the box, slick black back plate, and the cooler is uv reactive. a case modder and hardware nut's dream.
