What do you think of this set up?

Hey Guys,

I'm from Australia and currently looking to get a decent sound set up going. After going through the forum I decided to get Denon AH-D2000 with the Auzentech Prelude primarily for movie, music and gaming. I currently have dual core e8400 4gig ram 8800gt vista 64bit and an edifier s330d. Any suggestion as to what else I need or if I should do anything different such as buying an amp or look into different parts? By the way those are the budgets I'm looking to spend.

D2000s are some nice cans. More so, I'm told, if you decide to mod them.

There are a number of external solutions that will give you better sound quality for the money than the Auzen Prelude in the states (Zero DAC / Emu USB / etc). I don't know how well it translates to your market, though.

A mini3 amp will pair nicely with those. They are around $100. Since they are mostly diy, check the head-fi FS section.

They are better for gaming/movies but not music. The have more detail, better clarity, larger and more coherent soundstage. I sold mine cause they were not 'fun' for music.
