I wouldn't mind getting a pair of monitors...

one being a 1920x1200 and the other a 1600x1200

Ideally, both would be identical except for the size/res... what I mean is made by the same manufacturer, same specs, same type of panel, same dot pitch, etc.

Any suggestions?

What about the Dell 2407 and 2007?

Any other manufacturers I should consider? Samsung? Acer?

Thanks!

Looking at some monitor specs, it looks like what I want will not be possible...

All the 1920x1200 displays are around .270mm dot pitch while the the 1600x1200 displays are around a .255mm. I was thinking that the glass on the widescreen would have been the same height as the 4:3 glass but just wider for the extra pixels on the horizontal... I guess the use completely different glass for the 1920 vs. the 1600 resolutions. Too bad.

If anyone knows something that might work well together in this regard, please let me know.

Actually, Samsung has the 214T (1600x1200) and 244T (1920x1200) that both have a .270 dot pitch... the 214 is a PVA panel... anyone know what the 244T is?

Are both the 214 and 244 good panels?

The problem is both of these panels are particularly expensive. I can get a pair of 1600x1200 panels for a lot less.
