What is the current, most stable config for 5970?

I have a fresh Install of windows 7 64-bit Enterprise Edition. I am for whatever reason having issues with my drivers.

What is the most stable CCC package and Crossfire profile package for the 5970BE?

I have the same vga on an intel based system,the latest driver and cap have Stalker COP running fully maxed(DX11,all sliders full on)smooth at 2560x1600,only room for improvement would be if AA was possible with the 16x AF

if you need performance especially in bc2. you must use 10.5. Make sure you use driver sweeper or drivercleaner

So if I am not playing BC2, go with 10.8 & 10.8a profile?

Yep. There is a 108b, but it's only a hotfix for HAWX and the HD4800X2 cards.

with 10.9 driver and cap COP is smooth with 4xAA and 16xAF all maxed out
a fun gaming experience with the 5970 and COP

Tri-Fire here, 5970 + 5870, using 10.9 + 10.9 profile. All my games (I have over 50 installed) are working fine.

10.6 and 10.7 were problematic for me with Borderlands and a couple of other games (Plants vs Zombies, King Arthur). But 10.9 is working fine for me.

10.9's seem to be doing pretty well for me. I've only been playing GTA4, some Crysis, and a little bit of BC2, but for the time I spent, everything was running well.
