Russ said:I think a 6800GS would be a good bet. It's NEW and $199. The performance is GREAt too. Performance equal to a x850xt stock I think. My friend has an x850xt and stock he gets 5600 3dmark05. The guy in that other thread (real world 6800GS benchmarks), got like 5600 marks stock too. Then he OCed to 6500.
for $200 you could get an x800/850xtpe.PRIME1 said:For less than $150 the 6600GT will stomp anything in it's price range.

I have P4 3.2HT 1.5GB PC2700 GeForce 6800NU core=450/mem=700 w/ pixel unlock
I can't break 4000 on 3Dmark05
Yeah, I have to agree with acidic. The X850XT is at least as fast as an X1800XL; and that's the 7800GT's competitive range. The 6800GS would have to be considerably below that.Russ said:I think a 6800GS would be a good bet. It's NEW and $199. The performance is GREAt too. Performance equal to a x850xt stock I think. Agreed. The GeForce 6800 has plenty of horsepower and is argueably the best bang for the buck GPU in AGP format. Just my 0.02¢.V99 said:6800GS is NOT in AGP format.
I'd grab just a plain 6800, Better than the 6600GT and its only a few more dollars.
