what setting on Lsi 9260/9265 help please

I have a single SSD and 4x 1TB HDD in RAID 0 connected to the 9265 at the moment, what is the recommended setting to get optimal result? Here is what I have them set at the moment:


SSD:
Access Policy: RW
Disk Cache: Enable
Read Policy: Always Read Ahead
Write Policy: Always Write back
IO Policy: Direct


4x HDD in RAID 0:
Access Policy: RW
Disk Cache: Enable
Read Policy: Always Read Ahead
Write Policy: Always Write back
IO Policy: Cached



Should I leave them be? which parameter need changing?

Looks good to me. You can change these settings on the fly, so run some benchmarks, do a few changes in the LSI config, and run some more. What works for some setups, doesn't work for others, but as a generic config, your settings look fine to me.

These are the settings that LSI sent me for my 9260-4i + Fastpath software for my RAID0 3x256GB Crucial C300s....

Optimal configuration parameters for FastPath are as follows:

-RAID 0
-64 KB Stripe
-Write Through
-Direct I/O
-No Read Ahead
-Disk Cache Enabled

yea I notice SSD do not like Read ahead so I changed it back, other than that I use 32KB stripe instead.
