What should I get and when should I get it?

I'm trying to decide which video card to get and could use some help. I just purchased a Nvidia 3D vision kit and plan on purchasing a 3D capable monitor in the future so the video card will need to support that. My current monitor, a Benq FP241VW, runs at 1920 x 1200 - but the monitor I plan to purchase and replace it with maxes out at 1920x1080. I know AMD is about to release their new cards, but since they don't do 3D I'm going to stick with Nvidia... I know my system will be a bottle neck for the high end stuff, but I will be building a new rig sooner rather than later.

I mainly play FPS such as COD/Crysis etc..
