Whats a good Distro for Emulators?

I am new to Linux and I want to make a Emulator box (I have a W7 Machine and my Emulators will not run on that, as they need a dos or win32 Environment)

Ubuntu has repositories for many emulators.

Atari 2600
GBA
NES
SNES
Genesis
SegaCD

etc.

Problem is that the Ubuntu repositories don't keep up very well with faster updating emulators, like MAME.
