When I start MCE 05, it just goes to a Black Screen.. I know i'm confused

Heres the issue, i finally got around to hooking up my dell 9100 with MCE 2005 on it and went though the media center and set everything up, played around with it and everything was great..

now today when i click on the media center icon, all it comes up with is a black screen and the only way out of it is a ctrl alt del..

anyone have any ideas?

btw, the mouse sorta twitches on the screen, doesnt move smoothly

Sounds like a resolution problem? I had nearly the same problem when i transfered my pc resolution from a monitor and hooked it up to a tv, it didn't work. Lowered it to the lowest setting, hooked it up the the tv, then found the proper settings on the tv.

errr.. i still cant figure this out.. when ever i do a system restore to default it works perfect.. and i'm using a dell 2405fpw..

still no luck.. any other ideas?

I had the same problem and found the solution online.

Create another user account and use that one, then use that one and it should work!
