Where are all the PCI-Express x1 Cards?

Now that PCI-Express x1 slots are fairly popular on motherboards, I'm really wondering where all the cards are. All I've seen so far are USB2.0 and IEEE1394 cards and that graphics card that Matrox has.

I figured by now at least there would be a sound card or even a couple network cards using pci-e x1, but I could only find a single gigabit card and no sound cards to speak of. What's the deal? I'm looking at the Abit Fatal1ty AN9 for my AM2 upgrade and it only has a single PCI slot, that's where this question is really stemming from.

I think the demand is very low now that most cards are dual headed. however there are some 1x PCIe cards out, just not a large slection of them, but when it comes to 1x pcie you dont need to much horsepower anyways....

I don't know, but if there was a wireless network card out I'd be all over it.
