I'm looking to add two case fans to my Fractal R4 so i can move the stock fans to the front and run them at 5v. My goal is good air flow but as close to silent as possible.

Im considering a Thermalright TY-140 on the back using pwm and a Corsair AF140 on the top at 7v. Question is would the thermalright make a good case fan or would a second AF140 move more air with less noise making it a better choice?

Also how much wind noise do the corsairs af140s create(want to avoid a wind tunnel) and will they run at 5v?

Corsair fans come with a fan speed resistor, I think they've specifically targeted it to be silent with the resistor.

Thermalright makes excellent fans in general, in just about every roundup that I've read they're at or near the top of the chart. Same story with the TY-140, but you'll want to plug it into a fan controller or use a resistor if you want it to be quiet/silent. It's audible at full speed.
