which mfgr is my DVD drive

I want to flash my dvd drive but I dont remember what brand it is is there anyway to find out? I guess I can pull it out but is there another way? I dont want to pull it apart
 
In My Computer...

> Right-click on the drive.
> Go to Properties.
> Select the Hardware tab.
> It should be listed alongside your HDDs.
 
The "true" manufacturer may be listed on a sticker on the drive itself. A lot are re-branded and can be flashed with the original manufacturer's firmware with great results.
